On one early morning in the summer of 2010 after waking up in a hotel located in the Baltimore Harbor I was tired but ready to eat. After hurriedly getting showered and dressed I was ready to make my way downstairs to get the much anticipated continental breakfast. As I was making my way to the door, my mom stopped me at the last second asking, “Mary, where are you going?” I quickly looked back and replied “to get breakfast? aren’t you and Sarah coming as well?”. She gave me an odd look and replied, “hate to break it to you, but this hotel doesn’t offer continental breakfast, I thought I told you”. I was beyond disappointed! Who doesn’t look forward to a free breakfast at a hotel? Gathering my belongings and packing back into the car I had to suck it up and get the typical road trip breakfast at McDonalds.
To create this spubble I used iPhoto. Below I will post screenshots and instructions of the simple process for anyone that’s interested! Let me know in the comments below if you have any questions or comments!
Step 1, open the picture and select ‘edit’ from the top right corner. Once you’re in the editing page, select ‘markup’ from the top on the right side and click (you will see that I have it highlighted in blue in the above picture).
Step 2, once you’ve entered the ‘markup’ page, I chose the ‘bubble’ option (located on the top left side) to create my spubble.
Step 3, once you’ve selected the shape you want (I chose the bubble for this assignment), you can move it around and place it exactly where you would like. I chose right above my head for it to be fitting to the assignment.
Step 4, for this last step all you have to do it click on the shape (a bubble in my instance), and start typing. iPhoto gives you many options for the text like what font you want, color, etc. Ta-da, you now know how to make a spubble using iPhoto!
