For my final assignment from the design assignment bank I chose to do “The Big Caption”. I thought this assignment would be a fun way to end out the week. After looking through some of the photos on the website you’re instructed to look through (I’ll be sure to link below), I came across this one and immediately thought of fashion week. This picture was taken at a rally for Senator Elizabeth Warren at Manchester Community College in New Hampshire, which took place on February 8. Below I will share some simple instructions on how to add text to a photo.
Step 1, upload the photo to the program you will be editing with (I personally use iPhoto) and click edit which is located in the top right corner of the screen.
Step 2, once the photo has been uploaded and you’ve selected ‘edit’ click the second button on the right and select ‘markup’. This will take you to the page where you can add text to the photo or even draw on it.
For the final step, click the text box and move it around and stretch it till you’ve found where you want to place it and how large or small you want it to be. Once you’ve done that just click on the text box and start typing. You can also change the font, color, size, and background color by clicking on the font tool which is shown above. And now you have an image with text in it!
